The happiness and success one achieves in life is greatly determined by the beliefs systems and thought processes one has. Positive thinking and deliberate control of your 'conscious' thought processes can result in achievement and improvement in all areas of your life. These beliefs and thought processes are generated by your positive subconscious mind.
Our positive subconscious minds are developed and created by repeated positive input and suggestion from the conscious mind. We call this thought process 'Self-Talk', and it is by this 'Self-Talk', that we program our subconscious mind, that then develops a more positive subconscious thinking process and belief system.
Each time a positive suggestion or message is received by your subconscious mind, your subconscious mind creates even more positive thoughts subconsciously. It sounds logical and obvious, but because this process is a subconscious process, we are not always aware of it! Does that make sense? We have to consciously control our 'sub'-conscious thought, and we do this by controlling our conscious thought!
Consciously making suggestions repeatedly, helps to not only create more positive thoughts, but it also helps to reinforce your subconscious mind to always generate positive thoughts, and more importantly, eliminate harmful negative thinking.
The result is a positive mindset that leads to happiness and success in your daily life.
When listening to positive suggestions, you tune yourself to be sensitive to them. Fully immersing yourself in them makes you open your mind. This allows the positive suggestions to penetrate even further into your mind, and accelerate the positive thought generation process, its like gaining a higher level of understanding.
They don't know, that they don't know.It's not a conundrum, its a fact, but it is only a fact realized by those, 'in the know', those few people who have ascended into a higher realm of understanding and perception of self, or a better self-awareness if you like.
Those people that can see more, have more vision, become more creative, gain a wider understanding; do know that they know. But, there is no simple way to explain it to those who do not know! If this is hard for you to understand, and you don't know what I'm talking about, then you probably don't know yourself.
To bring your understanding to this level, one way, is to start repetitive positive suggestion, usually in the form of videos and audio CD's. Also you need to develop a pattern of self-talk, which usually can be taught via these audio CD's and videos. Later you modify what you learn to suit your own personal needs and goal attainment.
Repetitive conscious positive thought, develops your mind to see what others cannot see or understand easily. You will have experienced something similar, if you have ever listened to a recorded lecture or interview, seminar, how to or talk-session tape or CD recording. No doubt, you will have heard new things on the recording although you have listened to it many times.
You will think, how did I miss that the first time round? It was certainly there since the first time you listened, but your subconscious was otherwise engaged at that time, perhaps thinking of something else that was just said on the talk.
This has happened with this author many times, most recently with the video 'The Secret', during daily listening sessions, even after 30 days and beyond, there are still new things being discovered. Try listening repeatedly to a positive mental attitude CD talk track yourself and discover this phenomenon. Then you will know that you know!
Benefits of Positive Suggestions.By far the most important benefit in using positive suggestions for gaining success and happiness is to “block” and prevent those negative thoughts from interfering with your life. The negative thinking you have currently is the reason why you are where you are right now!
Once you learn to recognise yourself, having any negative thoughts, you can, (with practice), learn to immediately eliminate those thoughts and concentrate towards creating more positive thoughts.
Stopping the negative thoughts in their tracks, is the best anyone can do. No-one can say they are 'only going to have positive thoughts', because no-one knows what they will think of next. Inspiration and creativity thinking will develop both positive and negative thoughts and ideas.
There is usually an upside and a downside to everything, it is just our perception and reaction to those thoughts and ideas that give them power to uplift us or send our minds on a downer into turmoil! For example, some people say that they would not like to win the lottery, because they would worry too much about what to do with all the money!
Sit and think for a moment, if you will, imagine if you had just won the lottery. Come up with a bad side for every good thing you can think of. If you actually won the lottery, would you concentrate on these bad things. Would they just be a nagging possibility in the back of your mind. What could you do about those thoughts?
If I won the lottery I'd. ...
.. Buy a new house and go on holiday. (But who would look after the expensive new house whilst I were away)?
.. Buy a new $100,000 car. (What if someone, a jealous person scratched it)?
.. Probably get inundated with begging letters to help dying people. (Would you still blow the money on fancy cars, holidays and houses, when there are still people in need of life-saving operations and starving children in the world)?
I hope I haven't spoilt any-ones desire to win the lottery. These examples are just things other people have told me about, of their worries over winning the lottery. Each person must decide their own answers to give them peace of mind.
If any of those problems is of concern to yourself, re-think each one, and place two or more good positive answers to each perceived bad side of an argument. In fact, you can do this for any problem you have.
To ensure that the positive thinking changes stay with you, you have to first discipline yourself in listening to the positive suggestions as often as you can, for at least a month or more. This is because humans usually take about (21 days), three weeks to change a basic habit, and therefore, it is relatively safe to assume that whatever changes you have made to your thinking will stay with you for at least a month of daily-repeated programming.
In addition, you will need top-ups on this positive thinking drip-feed on a regular basis, say perhaps once a week at least.
